Quasaric’s first prototype “Palomar” has went underway in the developmental stage. The idea has stemmed from an untapped market in the AI space.
The prototype is built on the strict foundation of a screen less, button-focused product for businesses. Its goal is to remain an ambient small block that answers any questions related to the task or business at hand. It is not a creation tool, replacement tool, nor an agentic AI. This device has one purpose which it is determined to be the industry standard for, which is being a maintenance-free companion for your employees.
The Palomar will use a small language model running on custom OS. Small language models have an advantage for answering short and simple questions, specialized in what it’s taught, and its ability to remain in scope for work related questions. More importantly, everything will remain on-device for confidentiality, privacy, and ease of ‘educating.’
There are many more breakthroughs and discoveries as the device continues development and we’re excited to present the final product once it has exceeded our expectations.
